What not to carry in CAT exam hall – NDIM- New Delhi Institute of Management

CAT 2018 is scheduled for 25 November 2018, in various centers more than 147 cities in India.

One of these aspects is the preparation for the day of the CAT exam. Preparing for the day of the exam does not just mean that candidates must be 100% prepared to answer any type of question. It also means that the candidate knows and follows all the rules and regulations of the exam center. These rules and regulations include:

Bring your admission card: This is the most important document that should be taken at the time of the exam. If you forget to take your CAT 2017 admission card, you may have to forget about the chance to show up for the test.

Proof of identity: The list includes passport, PAN card, UID card, driving license, the identification card of the employer, identification of the university

What you should not carry in CAT test centers

Calculator: Because the calculator can be accessed on the screen, it is not necessary nor allowed to take any personal computer for the test.

Any certificate or document: It is not allowed to carry any documents even white sheets as this will be considered a violation of CAT standards.

Stationery: CAT is a computer-based test (TCC), in which students must carry a minimum of stationery items. You will be given a pencil and a worksheet to do any hard work. It is advisable to bring only a pen and a pencil for the test.

Clock or timer: The CAT computer system will have a timer on the screen that will let you know how much time is left to complete the section.

No bags, wallets or telephones are allowed. Inside the test center no bags, cell phones or wallets are allowed, you will be asked to store your luggage outside the test facilities.

Shoes: CAT candidates are not allowed to wear shoes in the examination hall. You have to leave your shoes out of the room with your socks.

Mehendi: It is necessary to provide fingerprints to the monitor. If there is mehendi in the hands, the fingerprints cannot be scanned. It is advisable not to apply mehndi on the hands at least 5 days before the examination.
