To get selected for a job interview you must avoid few things. If you avoid these things, you will leave a great impression and will let you get your dream job. Below are the things which you should take care and not do in your interview-

  • During the interview don't use your phone or answer any call. It's better to keep your phone switched off
  • Don't be nervous. Speak fluently and confidently. Avoid uttering and don't use humming words.
  • Don't talk negative about your previous or past employer, colleagues, supervisors by making derogatory comments.
  • Don’t act too desperate that you would take any job with any employer.
  • Don’t take too much of pause while you answer any question. Answer question truthfully & frankly and don’t lie.
  • Don’t discuss your family problems or personal issue with the interviewer and don’t ask personal questions from the interviewer.
  • Don't question about salary, other perquisites or allowances unless and until interviewer ask first. It’s a very big don’t on which you shouldn’t lose track.
  • Don’t share too much or too less information about the question asked and simply don't answer the question in Yes or No. Give a short description about your answer that can highlight your skills.
  • If you offered tea or something, don't just say simply No. If you want to have, you can have it with courtesy, and if you don’t want, just say, You had it before coming and thanks them.
  • After the interview is over don't forget to give thanks to the interviewer and follow up with the thank you note on mail.
